To help your child increase his/her reading comprehension, ask your child questions about the books he or she read. Choose some of the following questions to ask them each night for January:
·Who are the characters in the story?
·Who is the main character in the story?
·What is the setting of the story?
·Does the setting change in the story?
·What is the problem in the story?
·How does the problem get solved?
·Is this text fiction or non-fiction? How do you know?
·Is the story make believe or real? How do you know?
