Best Field Trip Ever!

What a fun time we had on our recent field trip to downtown Jacksonville. First, we toured Sally Corporation, an animatronics production company. Ms. Julie Cornell, lead the students through a thrilling guided tour of the robot factory.

Then the students took a fun ride on the Jacksonville Skyway riding over the St. Johns River while taking in city views from up above.

Afterwards, we met up with Ms. Emily Lisska from the Jacksonville Historical Society With only a short advance notice, Ms. Lisska kindly met us at the Jacksonville City Hall and took our students through a guided tour highlighting the grand history of our city. The students even toured Mayor Curry's office. They were very excited to see all of the pictures on the walls and the staff that greeted us was very gracious.

After a relaxing lunch in the courtyard of the
Jacksonville Main Library,  Ms. Joanna, from the library took the students to the Children's Theater for storytime with Mrs. Owl, a robot created at Sally Corporation.

All in all it was a perfect and fun-filled day made possible by all of our wonderful tour guides, Ms. Cornell, Ms. Lisska, and Ms. Joanna and especially our chaperones, Miss Phillips, Mrs. Ford, Hilburn and Hovis. We would also like to thank Mrs. Tsengas for organizing this field trip.  Thank you to all that made this a memorable day! Please enjoy the pictures below from our great adventures.
